Why does Coingeek/nChain spend so much time on attacking BCH, a coin which it derived all its code and value from, instead of splitting from BTC without interfering with a coin it supposedly supports?

Umm..

1st) It (Bitcoin SV) derived it's code from the Bitcoin protocol and then the edits of Bitcoin core, and then some edits in Bitcoin cash.

2nd) It cannot "split" from Bitcoin Core (BTC) as it's already tainted by Segregated Witnesses, surly this is common knowledge for all of us?

Bitcoin cash WAS a safe haven keeping the Bitcoin protocol intact, this lasted only a short while before ABC began wanting to "fix" Bitcoin. As a result it was forked again to preserve the original protocol.

They want to end p2p cash
btcore version is infected with a permanent virus called segwet, no more p2p cash there
Bitcoin p2p is now Bitcoin cash, they need to takeover or destroy it

Why then is Greg Maxwell actively attacking BSV, and everyone over at /r/btc is seemingly "OK" with this?

Bitcoin cash shot itself in the foot once checkpoints were added, and ABC took the lead ignoring all other implementations wishes.

Sorry.
