Advertisers aren't going to pay until there are a ton of users. But personally I would rather not see them at any time.
We are considering adding a "promoted posts" option, similar to Reddit and Twitter. It's not high on the priority list though.
I like the idea, Memo needs funding, earning for promoted posts could add to the advertising budget and pay for unforeseen expenses.
