What do y'all think about the "the blockchain will become too big for anyone to download" argument against bch?

Why would anyone want to download the whole blockchain to begin with?

It's my understanding that when more computers that have the blockchain downloaded, the network becomes more decentralized

Only mining nodes matter. And miners are being paid to do so.
