All famous people should just evolve and post on their biography a link with the twiiter announcement showing they are not fake

It's not technically possible. Anyone can broadcast the "set name" protocol with a name of their choice from any OP_return capable wallet.
It's technically possible to look up Namecoin name registrations made with the same key as memo profile, and display the unique name if a match is found
But nothing is stopping miners from putting a "set name" transaction in a block even if a clash is found.
It does not matter. You look up a name in a separate network, and if a match is found UI display this Namecoin name instead of plain 0x6d01memo name.
Unique Namecoin names can further be distinguished in UI, with color and similar tricks.
My "name" is unique. It contains Cyrillic characters. Unique names is not a way to prevent such scams
I've added a way for users to tag accounts as "verified" on memo++. Link in bio.
I like this memo++ Chrome extension. Verified a few users on their profile pages. Not muted anyone yet ;)

Just added this. Now muted users are hidden for good, even in notifications.

That is easily solvable on a UI side as well. Highlight all those imposters tricks with color. Works pretty well, especially when combined with "connections" percentage.
That said, you name is only unique in terms of unicode. We can very easily create a framework that will help in distinguishing "perceived uniqueness".
