Approximately 9,000 to 10,000 people live with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in Japan, with roughly 3,000 new patients diagnosed annually . It is a rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disease, leading to death—often from respiratory failure—typically within three to five years. Mortality rates have seen small increases, particularly in those over 70.
There is no evidence to support the claim that Hal Finney was murdered by the CIA. According to reliable, public records and statements from his family, Hal Finney died on August 28, 2014, at the age of 58, following a five-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Yes, that is a well-known, intriguing piece of Bitcoin lore. The cryptographer and early Bitcoin developer Hal Finney lived for nearly 10 years in Temple City, California, just a few blocks away from a man named Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto.
The Proximity: Reports indicated that Hal Finney's house was only a few blocks or a "few miles" away from the family home of Dorian Nakamoto in Temple City.

In May 2016, Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright claimed to the BBC, The Economist, and GQ that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. During this time, he attempted to demonstrate his identity by signing a message using private keys associated with early Bitcoin blocks (sometimes referred to as "Satoshi's keys" or early blocks) in a private, staged session with journalists and Bitcoin community members, including Gavin Andresen. Key details regarding the BBC show and "genesis wallet" claims:
The "Proof" Session: Wright, along with Jon Matonis (founding director of the Bitcoin Foundation) and Gavin Andresen (chief scientist at the Bitcoin Foundation), held a meeting where he claimed to sign an arbitrary message ("Gavin's favorite number is eleven. CSW") using a key from an early block, though the BBC reporter, Rory Cellan-Jones, noted he did not definitively sign the genesis block itself, but rather an early block, and later f...
Now face to face, with two police officers as witnesses, Nakamoto's responses to my questions about Bitcoin were careful but revealing.
Tacitly acknowledging his role in the Bitcoin project, he looks down, staring at the pavement and categorically refuses to answer questions.
"I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it," he says, dismissing all further queries with a swat of his left hand. "It's been turned over to other people. They are in charge of it now. I no longer have any connection."

Hi, if you're interested in Einstein could you please measure the speed of light, c? In the future maybe a Ministry of Truth could measure it. 🤔
I bought a portable oscilloscope & photodetectors, but I keep procrastinating. I was thinking of measuring the signal btwn 2 sensors - my laser beam hits one, then bounces back off a mirror & hits the other one. I know audio isn't fast enough to detect a difference (the laser hit both instantly in my audio recordings).
I did a course in General Relativity when I was young. I like the math but I think that theory's wrong. Perhaps there's a speed much faster than light. Or maybe Riemannian geometry is useful in some other way, in physics.
The speed of spreading information cannot exceed light speed, but the space itself can. Many galaxies are moving away from us at speeds faster than the speed of light
