People are always arguing about what is racist or not in K-pop spaces. But this seems so blatant that there is really no excuse even the most hardcore fan can make. If racism was like murder, this would be first degree - pre-mediated, carefully planned out racism. Bizarre behaviour. And so so embarrassing for them as well.

Chaeyoung, a member of Twice – one of the most globally successful K-pop groups – has apologised after wearing a T-shirt featuring a swastika.
The 23-year-old’s T-shirt featured an image of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious wearing a swastika logo. She posted a photo of herself wearing it on her Instagram account to her 8.6 million followers, but soon deleted it, replacing it with an apology. “I didn’t correctly recognise the meaning of the tilted swastika in the T-shirt I wore,” she wrote. “I deeply apologise for not thoroughly reviewing it, causing concern. I will pay absolute attention in the future to prevent any situation similar from happening again.”
It was the second clothing-related controversy for the vocalist this week, after she performed in a crop top emblazoned with an American flag in a Q shape and the slogan “where we go one, we go all”, a phrase used by conspiracy theorist network QAnon.
Earlier this month, K-Pop girl group Mamamoo landed in some hot water after a video clip of the quartet in what many interpreted to be blackface aired at their Seoul concert.
As Popcrush reports, the group ran a parody video of themselves performing Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars's "Uptown Funk," in which they don the same outfits featured in the original video, as well as some ill-conceived and highly offensive facepaint. It was an incident that (rightly) incurred significant backlash from their international fanbase, who took to Tumblr and Twitter alike to take the group to task. As a result, the group apologized via Facebook the next day, admitting that there was "no excuse" for their "insensitive actions."

K-pop star Sowon has apologised after posing with a mannequin wearing Nazi clothing and posting the images online.
The photos show Sowon, a member of GFriend, cuddling the mannequin, and were taken in a café last November while the group were filming a video.
They have since been deleted from her Instagram. Her management said she felt a "profound sense of responsibility" over posting the images.
Many people took to social media to call for the star to apologise.
Source Music, her management company, said in a statement to CNN, external that she was shocked and deleted the post "when she understood the significance of the image".
It is common practice for K-pop singers to issue apologies through their management.
Global girl group Katseye say they have received multiple online death threats since they made their debut last year.
The six-piece, who were recently nominated for best new artist at the Grammy Awards, told BBC News that the messages, which have also targeted their families, "can get really heavy".
"I try to tell myself it doesn't matter, but if 1,000 people are sending you death threats, it's jarring," said singer Lara Raj. "Even if it's not going to happen, it's heavy."
Raj, who is a US citizen with Tamil Indian heritage, has also been subjected to racist comments, and was falsely reported to ICE for "working and residing in the United States without legal authorisation".
The 20-year-old said she had "deleted Twitter" (now known as X), to avoid seeing negative comments.
"I realised I am not the audience for other people's opinions," she said.

The Japan–Korea Undersea Tunnel, also known as the Korea–Japan Undersea Tunnel, is a proposed tunnel project to connect Japan with South Korea via an undersea tunnel crossing the Korea Strait that would use the strait islands of Iki and Tsushima, a straight-line distance of approximately 128 kilometers (80 mi) at its shortest.[
