I’d rather a woman (over a man) tend to abused and already vulnerable children. Sorry, but the data is clear on who is more likely to abuse vulnerable children. Are you making the assumption that a woman cannot have a job and effectively raise children?
I imagine, working a career she loves (helping kids hands-on) while also *earning a wage* that can support herself and her family in this fucked economy.
What about a 17 year old about to graduate and wants to work with abused and neglected kids in a play-therapy capacity, which requires a degree. What do you tell them?
We buy aluminum free deodorant and fluoride free toothpaste as the supermarkets. I guess it just depends on the area. But we can find those alternatives at almost every grocery store in town, even the “low-end” stores.
