Yes they do. The Apostolic era preceded the existence of the Catholics by 2-3 generations. This is the reason that there are Orthodox, Coptics, Gnostics and Catholics.

Catholics play word games to make themselves "the first Christians"

Exactly. The Catholic Church is a creation of the Nicean Church in Rome under the notion that the various churches of the world needed to be centrally governed...

These churches got partially absorbed by the Nicean Church of Rome, during which the Orthodox Christians resisted the take-over by the Romans.

There are parallels to the takeover of bitcoin by the small blockers.

Yes, it is disputed. The Catholics are predated by the churches of Jerusalem and Antioch. The apostolic era established churches in Thessalonica, Philippi, Ephasus, etc... these churches were not “Katholikos.”

The Catholic Church is about 1/3rd the age of the church at large.

I don’t think that history is accurate. Jesus was sarcastic to Simon because he was unreliable. Jesus called him “Petras” as a joke because Simon “Peter” was not a man with a reputation of trustworthiness or firm foundations.

The Greek is crucial here.

That’s exciting! Hadn’t noticed.

We are the people of “El.” That’s it. Blood and spirit. The Nicean church is about 2000 years old.

One of the perks of bitcoin is that it makes smaller and smaller nations feasible to fun efficiently. If the US was a thousand nations (or more), participation becomes increasingly voluntary as smaller groups aren’t lost in the shuffle. This is a net good.

I don’t consent to the monarch or the oligarchs, if that’s what you mean. They are just people, and they need to be more properly incentivized to cooperate more fairly in the economy.

If they were doing anything other than subsidized hashing, they would be. Small blocks and a long tail subsidy on BTC have extended their laziness and power based on their stake.

The Catholic Church lost its monopoly on force due to the creation of the printing press and reduced friction in the dissemination of information via books.

Trustworthy information with ease of access is more powerful than armies.

To that end, bitcoin becomes the enforcement of property rights where states have failed.

The law in the current paradigm has harmed bitcoin, but bitcoin can (must) shift the paradigm of understanding about self sovereignty and relationship to others.

Summoning @24. He has often said that the lure of PoW will incentivize institutions of states to become miners.

The problems of the state are rooted in their stake. Better incentives beget better systems: voluntary, competitive systems.

How many anarchists would exist if governments used bitcoin for everything?

If they are made to be honest, and truth is publicly available, how does that change politics?

“Law” isn’t a threat to bitcoin. It’s a threat to tyranny, crime & corruption.

Interesting to hear Calvin saying he thinks that there will be so much new enterprise use in the BSV economy in 2021, that he will stop being perceived as the center of the network. https://tpow.app/28cd2699

This is a strong signal!

Investment advice: don’t libel billionaires or ask to be sued by them.

The cost savings is incredible.
