Turning people's negative and ambivalent ideas about BSV probably begins with changing their views on the people involved with BSV.

Maybe people who are having scaling problems with Bitcoin approached their architecture with not the best assumptions.

The net of it is that they do nothing about situations that were foreseeable and largely preventable
I deal with some of the worst computer systems failures worldwide. Whether it’s that or a building failure, I see that people’s minds do not operate well on low probability events. They do poorly at distinguishing a 1 in 100 event from a 1 in 10,000 event
