Anarchists seem to prefer BCH, while statists of many regards prefer BTC. Tells me where I belong, but I also fear that anarchists always stay in a niche rather than really changing things. How do we spread the fire?

Hi Fabiola! Welcome to Memo! I keep hearing stories about how cryptocurrency is saving the day in Venezuela. Where are you in South America? Growing a crypto community?

Perhaps. My fear is that 0-fee protocol that isn't adopted by all nodes will cause a much larger probability for double-spends. If there's a way around those concerns, I'm supportive.

Betrayed by my own family members who think I'm some kind of a villain. I've never been so hurt in my life by the actions of people that I loved and trusted. Only grateful for my AWESOME wife for standing by my side.

Been saying for years that these "free" txn blockchains are BS. Compromising security for free txns when a transaction can be secured for under a penny is ridiculous. Iota, EOS, Nano.

I actually think 0-fee is silly and unnecessary. 0-conf is critical.

I think 0-fee is completely unnecessary. 0-conf is critical.

What's more important for UX on BCH?

0-Conf

I think 0-conf matters and 0 fee is unnecessary. Fees are nominal on BCH, but the 0-conf UX is priceless.

Received a BTC payment to a legacy address. 30 min later, no conf. Spent it unconfirmed to a Segwit address & it had 1 conf in 3 mins. How can I spend 0-conf BTC that hasn't been mined? Should I double spend attempt?
replied 2357d
I agree that keeping 0-conf is more important than 0-fee. UX is what will win, and people care more about speed than a microscopic fee.

I agree. It worked on Bitcoin until 2013-2014. But maybe the level of traffic would be problematic. i.e. SPAM

I'm not fully convinced BTC will go to zero. Lots of stupid things retain value for stupid reasons. Bitcoin Core could be one of those things.

Vin Armani fighting with CSW about the potential problems with zero fee txns making spam easier and hurting 0-conf. Any thoughts on this?

This guy adds microtransactions which give incentive to mine, which adds security to the network. Thanks for paying to secure BCH.

Shitcoins can be good to trade! Dump them near upward resistance zones, and buy BCH when it's near lower support zones.
