I've played in venues that meant a lot to me. I got high in the back row of the Grand Gerard Threatre in Toronto with a bunch of punks. I received a $50 tip for singing about oral sex lol There's so much I miss about performing
My band is 2 years old. We were gaining some traction in the scene as covid hit. Had a paying gig booked every weekend Jan-August and we ran an open mic every week that was really popular. Now we have to be online. Starting a channel is difficult.
At one point before covid hit, my band used to give everybody in the audience kazoos so they could doot doot along. The childlike joy when people figure out how to play them is so fun, and people get *out of control* with them. I miss that.
