Tomorrow is US Election Day - a day of monumental polarization.

I pray to live in the era where elections are every ten minutes, and our leaders earn their position by competing to create the most value for their people with proof of work.

I’m literally a historian and civics wonk. I’m not saying that the US is a hellscape. I am pointing out the problems with the US so that they can be better. The war on drugs, for example, has made the US #1 in imprisoning nonviolent offenders.

We should fight for freedom to individual sovereignty in person and property. That’s the great fight of the last several hundred years. There has been immense progress, but the work is not done. Until then, Randy’s meme is, at least, a good debate point.

Not really. The US Government is just an extension of the East India Company. It has changed hands, but it retains the exclusive use of the (assumed) moral use of force against the people that live in the colony/plantation. We have rights, but not freedom.

Yeah it was probably Chris Pacia from OB. He’s actually an old friend too, and one of the guys who thought Craig was Satoshi very early. He changed his tune in 2018, and I’ve since heard him talk positively about Segwit too...

#HashWarHistory: I was hosting a Bitcoin.com sponsored BCH Meetup, in talks to host a podcast on their network and building a BCH merchant payment app when the Hash War happened.

I had every reason to follow BCH. I followed bitcoin instead.

Makes sense. Basically a tag to keep nodes or on-lookers informed. I never noticed that in the bitcoin code before, though. Or just ignored it as I glanced.

Will do some detective work!

That's a good question! I'm not sure, so I could only speculate!

Not sure what you mean. Can you clarify?

A similar example could be a Glock or an AK47, which are designed to be purposefully imprecise and assembled in such a way where it is loose tolerances so that unknown circumstances don't make them malfunction.

Too much precision makes a tool unreliable.

BTC and BCH, for example, are working constantly to find a perfect implementation that always does exactly what they want it to do. This is why they fail.

BSV has flexibility which allows economic actors to flex the implementation to their needs.
