I wouldn't call it dead, but they had an outage of something like 3 weeks, during which users like ourselves couldn't log in to their site.
Always better to have options!

Mempool over 40 meg an hour ago. Nearly empty now. The system works. Temporary use spike backlogs clear quickly when there is enough space.

Wow, I fell asleep at the wheel. Sorry for the outage, looks like DB hiccuped on an orphaned block.

Last year BTC could only process a single transaction for $50.
Today BCH is processing 35,000 transactions for $50.

One takeaway from the stress test, we need better monitoring tools for the stress test.

It's almost 10am here. I basically pulled an all-nighter, but unfortunately I don't drink coffee :/ Memo team is just me right now. The community helps though :)

Guess I ought to be making some more transactions today. So here's one. Happy Stress Test Day! 🎉

With regards to CTOR, I found this article by Chris Pacia to be helpful:

Agreed. I only expect SV to Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V and tweak the dials, not put in the hard work or perform legitimate research.

Although I'm not convinced with CTOR, removing bottlenecks should be the first priority. SV at the moment has done nothing.

We allowed a disreputable interloper a stage & undue influence. Some continue to be swayed by his cocksure showmanship & fraudulent technobabble b/c it's what they want to hear. Bad bedfellow fracturing the community.

Let's not symbolically change a number, but continue the work of building the technical capabilities for massive on-chain scaling.
