Problem I see is any advancement that makes violent self defense easier for the individual has the flip effect of making aggressor violence easier for the group of individuals.
In my mind,that reality always ends in a gov't or multiple competing gov'ts in the end.Which is what we have today,which makes sense since nature is essentially ancap and we came from it
Issue I have with ancap is as soon as value is created and someone else wants it, it can become economically viable to steal through violence. Not everyone can defend themselves equally.

Since wealthier nations mostly have the immediate issues dealt with, we are able to shift our focus to less immediate issues, like the environment.
