From now on I think I'll trade with this in mind: BTC mempool empty - BTC and BCH will move together. BTC mempool full - BTC and BCH will move independently.
Won't make a price predition but will say I'm impressed how well BCH is holding up. Bought a bit at 638 ( .098/ BTC ) a month or 2 ago and I'm happy at .125/BTC.
At the end of the day, it's entirely Pewds choice if he wants to give it away. People acting like dickheads towards him, even after he's already tipped millions, is a bit harsh. :/
Bitcoin (BCH) is a great example of how Bitcoin survives after a takeover attempt (its impossible). Should something similar happen again, we can fork off. We must never lose sight of Bitcoin's raison d'être.
Why do children listen to their parents? They lack maturity to make decisions for themselves. The advent of BCH is not just the miners waking up, it is also the miners growing up.
great point. I am of the belief BCH is not just miners growing up, it's PEOPLE growing up. Claiming back 'authority' which has been outsourced to 'leaders'.
The only reason BTCcore is still surviving is because it is the main trading pair since inception. Core chose the road to profit over useability. Hodl, Seg and LN = litany of failure.
If BTC has an actual use case it's that it's the on-ramp to speculating on alt-coins and ICOs. Every time a usd/alt pair gets listed on a big exchange BTC gets that much more useless.
Reading back old scaling debate discussions, and I really have to reiterate: Why did the miners care what the devs had to say.... Bitcoin is permissionless.

The process of miners "growing up" is not going to stop here. As bitcoin grows, so will the sophistication and scope of the miners' business. We are just getting started.
Vin Armani fighting with CSW about the potential problems with zero fee txns making spam easier and hurting 0-conf. Any thoughts on this?
Also, 0-conf is a unique selling point to merchant adoption that must be preserved. I'm not sure how it would hurt 0-conf, I still have to look into it.
