What we are planning is just encrypting and sending links onchain to 3rd party pastebins which contain the full encrypted message.
Ye but if those txs came from memo and it was hacked then the messages could be read because memo has everyone's private key much like WhatsApp
I don't like your idea about devising the public key from the blockchain though, that infers that messages will be sent to active keys that are centrally stored on memo servers.
