Seriously, describe to me how you'd steal a coffee with a doublespend and why it'd be worth it to even try. Spell out the economics and odds of success.
Same way they're doing it now. Best case it works and I get free coffee. Worst case it doesn't. If you had a 10%+ chance of getting free stuff wouldn't you take it?
People constantly want to "fix" Bitcoin. There's no indication that 0-conf transactions are unsafe for the size/type of transactions they're useful for.
Except for doublespend.cash that shows how often successful double spends actually occur and how much money is stolen.
It's everyone's individual choice what they tip for posts they enjoy, but personally my default is 10,000 satoshi. I just don't feel right making a like without a tip. I'm already spending the network fee :)

You'd definitely need a hard fork. And everyone would have to agree on it. Which isn't the case. Some prefer the transparent blockchain, as it supposedly make gov accountable.
People prefer transparent blockchains for that, and because tracability makes crime fighting and business auditing easier. But all of this is at the expense of privacy, and freedom.
my worry too. but I'm so far from understanding the math that makes all this work so idk maybe its possible? 🤔

Pretty sure that kid got serious radiation exposure and was arrested. Maybe if we had an legalized, supervised environment for these kids to practice... Would've been different.
The real kicker is your mandated BY LAW to go through this. If you want a better education, parents have to pony up the cash and research the school type etc.
We need education that threads students along career/specialization paths of their ability/choosing. Not throwing them on their ass when the diploma prints.
