You know, some aspects of NPC are pretty cool and interesting. Some of the people in your community are great too, and they work hard. It's just hard to like you guys when you legally bully everyone though. The whole thing with the endless lawsuits = 🤮
Also varying degrees of centralization of authority. I am not arguing with near stateless. or even stateless. The argument is that it would gravitate towards centralization. You disagree?
Until the societies had not become bigger and more sophisticated. I just asked that question. Why did the small khan became the great khan? Same applies for every other history that i know of.
... any governance always leads to government. If that is not true you have to explain why a common theme in human societies has been a centralization of power.
There are many reasons why i dont think anarchy is possible and its not really that private police could not exist. But rather that because of the nature of humans and the way they (consciously or not)prefer to organize their society...
this overestimates the rationality of the individual or even the collective. The same more central bands as in mafia gangs or a more decentralized version as in a clan of nomads in the steppes would give up that stability and go for destructive wars
