Works great as a Twitter clone, not a Reddit clone. Plus we lose all of the organic users discovering BCH via Reddit, which should not be underestimated.

Not sure on its usefulness overall but it is an interesting app.

I have to wonder though: does this model scale? We're starting to see the downsides of unbridled bot spammers. Imagine at Twitter's size. How do we maintain the best of both worlds?

Let the dust settle from this split before we start testing capacity limits again.

Last post got a lot of likes. @memo you should start a fund. :)

Memo is simple and functional, but not especially pretty. What if we crowdfunded a professional website and branding overhaul? A visually appealing site + mobile app would bring in users. Thoughts?

You have not answered my questions because I still find myself asking HOW you will achieve this. How will the number of tx be higher? How will nodes be faster? Remove bottlenecks HOW?
Austin

Sources? You haven't answered "how" on any of those.

How will it be bigger? How will it be better? How will it be faster?

BTC mempool seems a little more full than usual today... https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unconfirmed-transactions

Right. But what day-to-day usecases will The Average Joe have with such a database? What is its potential for BCH adoption?

What else is BitDB capable of? Oyo isn't a Google-killer but it's definitely neat.

What's the long-term vision for a search like this? What incentive structures are there to encourage developers to contribute over just using Google?

How do we know these funds wont just be spent elsewhere? 11.5 BCH is a lot of money.

But this is just a random first name..... there isn't a famous person who goes by just "Austin". /facepalm

No one here is invested in Memo by using Bitcoin Cash.

But you're using the name "hillaryclinton" who you clearly are not. You're not helping our image either.

Last few times i checked that visualizer had some bugs and wasn't accurate.

I'd like to try to organize 10-20 of us Memo users to get a few "exposure" topics voted to the top of r/CC. The purpose would be to expose misinformation about Bitcoin Cash.

The bots, however, are the biggest problem in that sub. Posting a pro-BCH post will result in instant downvotes and a wave of trolls bombarding the post.

r/cc mods have claimed several times on r/btc that they do not actively censor BCH topics. I believe this is true.

Next stress test when? On the (potential) November hard fork?

BCH is a minority chain.
