Last month my sis found an MD player and told me to hold on to it. Then I searched for my old MDs in the dusty garage. Found them (dated 2001) popped them in, and they play just fine!
With CDs, the jewel cases would've cracked, then the CDs get scattered and scratched. Cassette tapes, they're great, but no random-access tech. It was great until the arrival of iPods.
