The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars film. Fight me.
Being more mature I've stopped liking Star Wars nearly as much as other sci-fi. Star Wars is definitely towards the bottom for me. The Last Jedi sank it lower imo.
I used to like it when i was a child. Battlestar Galactica, The Expanse and others are leaps and bounds ahead.
There is a bit of a magic to star wars, and hope. I've lost both. I prefer grittier sci-fi that doesn't brush away the dirt and make a clear good and evil.
Star Wars is not sci-fi, it's an "epic" like Gilgamesh, The Odyssey, Lord of the Rings ect.. You think it's childish because you don't understand it and judge it on things it's not trying to do.
Yes, after watching The Expanse, all other sci-fi seems pretty bad by comparison. Highly recommend The Expanse.
In order from good to bad: ep IV, ep V, ep VI, ep VIII, ep III, ep VII, ep II, ep I, in my opinion. I'm telling star wars movie plot as bedtime story to my children before sleep :P
lol ep VIII above ep III? III was good because we got to hear a little more about the light and dark side. until then they were just declared the good and bad sides.

why did you like VIII so much? (btw really love many shots in it, beautiful movie. didnt like plot or characters though)
Dune (Lynch) has always surpassed Star Wars in my book. Even Star Trek (TOS/TNG) touches on heavier topics.
hahaha funny video. wrt the story and political dialogue being boring, how many time can we good vs evil without being given any reason why they are good or evil?
Some point we need more description right? Even (literally every) marvel villains are trying to destroy the world (my god how many of these films do we need. I’m so bored).
So Vader seeing the corruption in the religiously dogmatic Jedi, how they kept him from his mother, tried to brainwash him, killed with as much prejudice as any sith, etc.. Not enough reasons??
