People just like to discuss flat earth, it is standard on imageboards.
It is actually hard to prove the shape of the Earth convincingly to a layman. Few if any have been in space to see the shape with their own eyes.
The fact that the sun travels the same angle per hour in the sky no matter where on Earth you are should be enough proof really.
Having any kind of topic makes memo look good in my opinion.
could add a sage function. not sure it would do much though. just takes one post to bring things back to the front page. topics never die
lines between topics are also really blurred
Having an open and unsencored platform seems to come with a nice set of paradoxes... Perhaps topics should be ordered by tip amount?
Simply a "most followed this week" would only feature trending and organic topics
Everything that is decided for you by someone else is potentially abusable. It's better to not filter anything and let people do it themselves.
For instance: If the most followed topic was to be shown to everyone with a higher priority, it would not take long for some entity to buy follows.
If information is treated equally, it is up to the user to decide what he likes to read (and follow) and therefore equal chances for every idea.
"The free market ideas is the best thing ever!" "These ideas suck! Won't someone manipulate this market place for me?!"
just dealing with these things instead of relying on filters will make the community stronger. try shilling on /pol/
meant they've adapted to it & its like rain off a duck's back now.
