Those who think that wealth is not at all a measure of someone's worth are just as misguided as those who think that wealth is the only measure of someone's worth.

They say money doesn't grow on trees but if you have a tree that grows something of value(like apples) then if you can take those apples the last mile to the consumer then money *does* grow on trees.
Cuz money is just an abstraction of the desirebleness of the things that money can be exchanged for. It's the thing that gets you all the other things.
That's why the sanctions wrecked Venezuelas currencey - it's value was based on the desireableness of the oil you could get with a Bolivar. Sanctions made it's desirableness go down.
The best money probably has an "inherent value" of zero. It just needs to be a good way to get the things humans actually want to have.
Last year a lot of people wanted to buy shares in ICOs. The main vehicles to get those assets was BTC and ETH so that's why the price went up. It went back down because people don't want ICOs anymore
That's also why the so called "petrodollar" is so dangerous. If for some reason oil becomes significantly less desirable, so will the main medium to get the oil: USD
A sudden "free energy for everyone" technology would crash the dollar by about the percentage that the oil industry is worth compared to the rest of USD economic activity.
There are free energy solutions that are held secretly. Eventually, I think they will leak out. Research "Steven Greer".
Jared, please do a bit more research. Steven Greer is speaking half truths, some of which are backed up but many of which are invented. To understand that phenomenon you have to read many sources.
Ive done the research. There is definitely hidden energy tech. Just look into Tesla.
Hidden energy-related tech does not equal "free energy." There is no such thing as free energy. First Law of Thermodynamics still applies to our little corner of the universe last time I checked.
I'm sure Tesla has some neat trade secrets up their sleeve with regard to their batteries and electric motors, but I doubt they're going to upend basic physics dogma.
