The BEST way to explain what Avalanche is and how it can work for BCH as well as AVA is using an animated doodle. Would someone please make one?

If Avalanche can be applied to BCH, that would be awesome. However, I have to be honest I have yet to understand how this is a secure method. Probably I'm still missing some bits and pieces.

Anybody knows if avalanche will make it into BCH?

I'm not sure why so many people are assuming they will jump straight into PoS with Avalanche, they've said they eventually intend to base selection on PoW contribution for over 100 prior blocks

Avalanche seems like a great idea the more I hear about it. Helos scaling, and protection against double spends.

No, Avalanche doesn't affect consensus, because is pre-consensus. It improves 0-conf safety, which is needed for adoption. Forfeits are great, but only useful for big purchases.
