You don't sacrifice your time via work, you sacrifice security by risking your capital on equity in a company that could fail. If there were no reward for it, no one would take the risk.

The factories in Russia and China didn't have capitalist masters. Instead the communist party leadership were the masters. Socialism doesn't eliminate masters. It just appoints them.

I have yet to meet a pro communist person who has distributed their wealth out to everyone less fortunate than them. I see them reap the benefits of capitalism while pretending it's evil.
