Yes they are tied to a tx but on the UI it will simply switch tx to match the editing.

For BTC I agree, 200-600 is a fair price range. BCH on the other hand, around 5k.
Memo can be used as Bitcoin Cash web wallet. Please, add some wallet functionality under dropdown menu: at least send transactions.
