While Bitcoin [Core] proponents are mostly worried about the fiat price, Bitcoin [Cash] users are worried about how to make it more user-friendly and useful in commerce.
It's extremely ironic BTCers didn't stop complaining their chain was being spammed considering keeping a 1MB limit is PRECISELY what makes BTC vulnerable in the first place. It's 32 times cheaper to clog 1MB blocks.
It's also less efficient, a lot more energy being spent to process just 1MB of transactions each block.
Bitcoin would be much more successful in absorbing FIAT from the system if it had bigger blocks and not a hack like SegWit. The adoption of a global and decentralized cc was slowed down by the 'digital gold' narrative
That's why I'm glad for Bitcoin Cash continuing the original roadmap
