So, Helio Gracie taught Gracie JJ, but he learned Maeda JJ. Maeda learned Kano JJ. This is a common Japanese/Samurai practice for the lineage of their arts.
My students will learn Wuckert Jiu-Jitsu which comes from Alliance, Gracie, Maeda...
Some others, like GFT don't have Gracie lineage. They learned Jiu-Jitsu and join the Japanese tree through Oswaldo Fadda. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but no Gracie lineage.
Traditionally, the branch takes the name of the founder, family or teacher.
This is true, but Gracie JJ is a distinct branch. My lineage is with Alliance. We trace our lineage to Master Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti before joining the Gracie tree which joins to Kano's tree through Maeda.
Others join Kano through Judo branches...

There's no candy in the picture, and my family is very health conscious. Although, I do partake in some holiday celebratory eating, it's certainly not on par with the typical, lazy American consumption of trash.
Halloween is a Christian holiday that goes back tot he 8th century. It is a mockery of death on All Saint's Eve. "Hallowed Eve" means "Holy Night" for a reason.
