A fence sitter is a vote for the winner. So if SV has 45% and there's 20% neutral that's effectively 65%, a decisive win.
It's always interesting to me how people project their ideals and preconceived beliefs onto Bitcoin. So called influencers are going to be real sad when it doesn't fulfill their ideological worldview.

Based on this fact, and the fact that CSW knew how to play the game of Bitcoin better, I would place my bets on CSW on the upcoming hash battle. (Note that CSW can kiss my ass)

Exactly, passive miners (and misleader revs) will be pushed out of the game. Overall, this hashwar is a wake up call and a net positive for the system.

The truth is, if you're deploying hashing power pointed at a certain implementation you're merely voting. With no replay-protection it's a winner take all election.
