I just placed an order with purse.io to purchase an item from amazon.ca. I chose an 18% discount and it got picked up right away by an 'Earner'. Of course I paid with BCH. Totally cool.
I've found that the best way to increase on-chain transactions these days is to disagree with someone on memo.
I am more concerned about the Fake BCORE people.
Who is doing stress test 2.0? Txns are still soaring.
Somebody realized it is easier to test on the main network than on the testnet.

Last year BTC could only process a single transaction for $50.
Today BCH is processing 35,000 transactions for $50.

28.08.2018 update: BTC halving estimated on 07.04.2020, BCH 08.04.2020 (1,6 day difference). Block height will converge on 18.03.2020.

bcash 1.1.0 will include OP_CHECKDATASIG and canonical transaction ordering. Release coming soon.
Which factors are the most important for the splited chain to win the other, if BCH splited in November.
What matters is the adoption in the medium and long term. If I only cared about the short term I would have stayed at BTC.

Not that I know of. The main difference is IPFS like torrents requires altruistic seeders. Content can disappear if no one is seeding it, or have slow seeders. BCH will always be fast.
Users could even pay BCH so their content is well hosted (seeded) on IPFS. Since Memo is text it's worth the fee to put it on-chain and have it hosted indefinitely.
Keep in mind that Satoshi dice uses your transaction output to pay out your winnings, if you double spend the payout will be invalid aswell.
Ok this is great. We need more examples how 0-conf as is would or wouldn't work.
