"Those who claim to have the truth have abandoned its pursuit, but the truth is a path, it cannot be possessed, only sought." - Albert Jacquard, French Geneticist

When you live in a place where people culturally value freedom, their love of freedom is a shield for your own

When you live among people who want to be taken care of by some authority, then your freedom is extremely insecure

Thus Education is the key

Identity as a technology is required for many things to work better in a complex society

Identity technology as a government monopoly is just as good as if the government was the only phone producer and if these phones where mandatory to use everyday

Whenever you hear about a new law that bans some of your freedom, don't dwell on it, don't ask yourself "how can I fight it"

Rather ask yourself "How can I bypass it"

And the system will crumble under its own contradictions.

If we have to reinvent all of society to make it immune to tyranny then we will do it.

If we have to only go to private or clandestine cinemas, bars, and restaurants, then we will do it.

Nothing will stop us. Life always finds a way.

Client calls me: "hey we found a huge bug"
Me: "That is actually a small bug, just fixed it"
1 week passes
Client calls me : "Remember that bug we asked you to fix ?"
Me: "Sure"
Client: "Well we talked that's actually a feature, can you unfix it ?"
😂😆😂

As you say Asics isn't the only job, and more specialization is also a solution as it builds trust and reputation. It's a mandala network.

The human soul needs art so as not to dry up. This is why the corrupt "elites" want to sell us what's mediocre and ugly as if they were masterpieces. This is what real art looks like.

I dislike the name, it should have been called "minerProof" or something without "ID", since it's only pseudonymous. But it gets the job done without compromising on the mining network being open for anyone to join without it.

MinerID is the solution to reorgs. It solves reorgs by allowing miners to verify who truly mined the blocks and to build a reputation in order to follow the honest peers in a reorg event. Same for new miners joining.

That's right. Utility comes first, fees follow. Then demand, and finally price. It's a chain.

If we manage to make bsv reward from fees do x250, we would have as much hashrate as BCH even at the current 1/4 of the price. We already did x100 over 2.5 years. This is a more actable goal than making the price rise. Let's accelerate the trend.

If the value of your chain is defined by how well it can trade on exchanges, then reorg attacks are a big deal 💀

If the value of your chain is defined by how well it can trade within its own ecosystem, then you are immune to reorgs 💡

BSV has a good fee/subsidy growth which has been doing x10 twice in 15 months each time, despite the price drop

So if it keeps at the current pace, and with no price change, in a year it would be above 10%. But if exponential we can expect 100% or higher

Having 0.1% of the sha256 hashrate is definitely an issue. Bitcoin isn't broken & no one should redefine how bitcoin works, but Satoshi was no god either, and even if he was, words have a limit to how far they can explain complex concepts in limited length

The only ones at risk during these reorg attacks are exchanges while all or most BSV apps are operating well because they have good connections in the mandala network.

So maybe this reveals more issues about exchanges than it does about BSV.

I never said there is one entity, but we must admit their is coordination between the biggest miners happening.

Any actor willing to join cannot just judge hashrate right now and must also consider which miners serve the ecosystem and judge based on that

Bitcoin isn't broken, it is under attack. The good thing is, because I don't think it's broken I don't think it needs fixing from anyone. Honest miners will regain the most pow & longest chain. I also do believe that Satoshi didn't envision everything.

As long as honest miners coordinate at any given time during reorg attacks to maintain the same chain, they can be sure to outpower the attacker in the long term, this becomes even more true as tx fees outgrow the block subsidy. This is all that matters.

"It is strictly necessary that the longest chain is always considered the valid one"

Would Satoshi have said that if he had envisioned competing versions using the same mining algo? Or would he have replaced "always" by "in the long term"?
