Not all seemingly conflicting information actually ends up being in conflict. Witness A claims the door was white. Witness B claims the door was red. Neither are wrong. Witness C saw a painter at the house painting the door. The difference was time.
Interesting question. Personally I have not purchased any music in probably 5-10 years. My wife has bought some, mostly iTunes music store. Now we use Apple Music, so we listen to whatever we want that is included. For a band that I like, I might partake.

I can see the desire, but I can still see native having a distinct advantage for a while yet. I guess it could just be the web code (programmer fault, not the technology used), but some apps just work better native.
