I don't think it's made of steel. I'm pretty sure the actual "sides" of the capsule don't reach 4000 F, just the bottom heat shield as it's the most exposed. It takes the brunt of it.
Steel is usually too heavy for spacecraft. They usually use titanium alloys and other materials for their strength and low weight.

That's one of the many problems with LightRider and his ramblings. Everything is "socialism could work", "socialism should work". I can even hear him now: "Capitalism doesn't work, it's shown that!"
Thing is, like i said earlier. I hate group identities. Including the rich/poor capitalist/communist. I don't blame groups. I blame people, specific people who specifically do wrong.
