Coinbase (like many other exchanges) wait for several confirmations before accepting a deposit. While it is annoying for a user it is safer for the exchanges to do so.
Given the recent price spike, I think some miners are seeing an oppertunity for some profits mining it. Miners game all 3 SHA coins regularly to maximize profits.
SLP was being used pre-fork. There hasn't been much SLP activity on BSV since the fork but no reason it can't still be used.

bitbacker.io is buggy a.f. at the moment. Whenever I try to send funds via PowerChat I get an error telling me the tx is stuck and then offered the option to get it refunded.

No. I just pasted the address from another wallet (found out that it had to be old-style address not cash addr), but nothing seems to happen.

BSV hoped for BCH to not split. At fork there was hope for reuniting. Checkpoint killed that idea. Your on your own now. The checkpoint was a horrible idea and a cheaters folly.
BSV camp was threating with everything from 51% attacks, reorg attacks, double spend attacks on exchanges etc. Of course it was everyones right to defend from that. YOU are on your own
