Crypto market is down, BCH is down, lots of crypto app activity is down. Memo activity may be low but I look at this as a slow period for building before the rush comes, hopefully :)

Evidence so far suggests that it does, but I personally feel the costs paid is too small and that eventually (if memo takes off) they will come here too.
I agree fees are too small to stop trolls. That's where reputation comes in :)

Yes, we are currently working on a memo app for both Android and iOS.
Wouldn't it be awesome if eatBCH and eatBCH_SS made a Memo.cash account so we could tip them directly from Memo.cash!

With decentralized handles, how do you prevent squatting? Unfortunately I don't think handles alone will scale. I think a hybrid system of handles + web of trust could work.
Not yet. This was just initial testing. Once there is a protocol made specifically for books, then a bunch can be added :)
Memo has plans on the roadmap that targets long form content. Hopefully we can get to it soon.

I used mttr.app. Not sure it's the best protocol for books though. Had to modify the javascript to get it to upload without errors. In talks with others to develop library protocol.

Yes. Coin-shuffle is an extra step, but it is available right now. Guessing that, in time, periodic shuffling is going to be a built-in feature in most decent wallets.
Memo has some privacy features on the distant roadmap and integrating coin-shuffle (or something similar) is definitely being considered.
