...they are hacked, they can "move" their profile to the backup address and ONLY that address. This could be their HW wallet, so we have convenience and security.

No funds needed. Donations welcome though :) Mobile app is a high priority.
Then where does your income come from? Do you plan to add ads someday, or other ways, to keep balance?
Promoted posts is a possibility. There are other revenue ideas that have been considered. But the main focus is exploring the possibilities of OP_RETURN. Memo is just the beginning.

Dust consolidation is no longer required. Memo will automatically consolidate as needed.

Social network on a blokchain has more upsides than downsides. You cannot leak all passwords if hacked. You are 100% aware where the money comes from. It is cheaper per user

At first I thought that putting a social network on the BCH blockchain was a stupid idea and to an extent it is (posts you can't delete etc.) but it does help increase tx vol. and that helps BCH grow. So I'm all 4 it!

So the browser creates/signs a tx and sends it to a BCH node?
Currently the txn is created/sent from the backend. Eventually this might be changed to happen in the browser.

Congratulations @reload for knocking the main memo node offline for almost 30 minutes. Apparently it can't handle transactions with 200+ inputs. Looks like that's a major bug we need to fix. Sorry for the downtime.
~750 transactions on my memo public key :). I keep coming back. Awesome community we are cultivating here, and with BCH in general! Just like 2011 to 2014 all over again. You all rock!
