I think it's a bit confusing that you have to click the timestamp to get the direct URL. I suggest clicking on the message itself. (And yes, that means remove the pop-up feature.)
Is this because you don't like modals? What if we used URL rewrites so that modals changed to the correct URL for the post like Twitter does?
Probably been suggested before but: Use bits not satoshis. sats are too small. Long term, bits will be like dollars, sats like cents. Standard should be to denominate everything in bits.
@Harvey Birdman A coin can be built into a chain of txs. But not all txs in a chain can be sent as unconfirmed at once. Network only accept a little window(about 4 tx).on a tx chain.
@Stress_tester_0207, for your tip of 21000 satoshis, I will send 72 txs with the message: bch... You can watch here https://seashells.io/v/PWMzRPfh in the run: R814.
Today is stress test day! Every time someone likes this post at least one more post will be sent depending on the tip amount. Happy stress test day everyone! I hope this is not too annoying , it is just for today 24h.
The Blockchain is a poor means of storage. Is there a desire to store a file forever on the blockchain? With OP_Return you have a timestamp of the file so as to prove that it existed.
Under that argument, memo probably shouldn't be on the blockchain either.
I'm reading the jasonc. The double spend depends on some miners filtering out low fee transactions. Off hand I don't see a need to filter out low fee transactions.
One reason is by setting a minimum they encourage higher fees and make more. Another is that some fear low-fee transactions can be used for spam. Majority have 1 sat/b minimum.
