Dearest Frogfather, please don't destroy BSV. We all know that Cregs and Gregs can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but the rest of us greatly appreciate your tireless work.
Yes, ideally BSV should help reduce costs and enable unique features; but a marketplace would still be essential, even if BSV couldn't do these things. Innovation is wonderful, but right now we could really use some basic infrastructure.
That ship might've already sailed. I had a semester of COBOL in the nineties that nearly destroyed my will to live. What languages would you recommend besides Forth?
I respectfully disagree. A BSV marketplace is essential not because it reduces costs or provides anything unique. It's about creating a completely self-contained ecosystem in which someone could live an entire life without the need to transact with fiat.
Maybe I'm missing something, but how is this proliferation of tokens any different than the proliferation of alt-coins? Doesn't this just create more confusion, cliques, and inefficiency? Why not just price everything in BSV?
I had a store on Open Bazaar in 2016 when BTC fees were reasonable, but they still don't support BSV. I have no programming skills to speak of, but someone needs to help them integrate BSV, or create a superior competitor if they refuse to do so.
I've tried offering incentives to friends and influencers to check out Twetch, but haven't had much luck. The best thing for the BSV economy would be a functioning marketplace like Etsy, but I don't have the skills or contacts to make that happen yet.
I guess I should've mentioned that I've been loaded up with a healthy amount of BSV since the beginning. I don't really want to get into mining, but it would be nice if there was some other way to invest in you or your company.
Hypothetically, if you had 50K to play around with but no experience mining, would you buy BSV, or invest in mining equipment? If the latter, can you spell out what would be needed to put together a respectable rig?
