Had to do with the attack during upgrade. You can use memo's search & search the word mempool to find more discussion.

On chrome, I use the decreased productivity addon. Makes colors B&W & very much dims pics till you hover over them & even then they're not full bright. Makes sites look inconspicuous.

Hai guise, what about BSV? 😜 It brings Satoshi's original plan of a non-disruptive government regulated fiat proxy! Patents! Risk! Get Stiffed!

"Why Are Cryptographers Being Denied Entry into the US?"
https://bch.gg/136
At least 4 well known cryptographers have been denied entry to US recently. Will anti-crypto policies trickle down & affect cryptocurrencies?
replied 1830d
Well, you just need to let the "true Satoshi" explain what he meant by that, which is clearly, the exact opposite.

Epic!

As pointed out, upgrade code didn't cause this bug. Attack was timed to make people think exactly what you're thinking. What they don't know, though, is their attacks make BCH stronger.
replied 1831d
I kinda feel it's too frequent, but tech moves fast, so I think it's OK for now. We shouldn't upgrade just cuz it's due, though. It's OK to say nothing's ready for this sched update.

An not malleable any more.

Test is not 100% same as prod, for example, during one test, memo had issues, which wouldn't have been seen on test. Also topology of network can be different & hide issues.

Ha. Eventually, all bluffs are called.

This needs a "Not Sure" option.

I do still wonder if shuffled coins are detectable or not though, and if it can be determined that they have been mixed with tainted coins.
replied 1835d
Yes. The true beauty of it. Just like the internet views censorship as a fault & routes around it, cryptocurrency views market regulation as a fault & routes around it.

$Djibril
Good afternoon (where I am it is). Is Djibril a form of the name Gabriel in English? Great to talk to you from so far away.

Been wondering about increased fungibility part, & maybe I don't fully understand. Can gov/exchange really not claim that all coins shuffled w/ tainted coins are now tainted also?

There was a quote that I can't remember exactly by an old philosopher that the existence of unjust laws serves to make man disrespect all law.

Can tokens be fractioned? How do you pay for things if everything has to be a multiple of the token value. Is the value very small?
replied 1836d
In fact, you could decide that if 1 or more of those you follow blocks someone, they're blocked for you too. If downvoting happens, it could work same way. Not censored, but filtered.
replied 1836d
I'm not sure it *should* be secret. Likes aren't, why should the fact that you dislike be secret? If I block/mute someone, I don't care if they know.

Wait, there's no Dad Jokes Topic? Quick, make it!

5 TB gzipped blocks, sent between 2 CDC 6000s with a shared core RAM.
