Market has priced nothing negative in. It doesn't expect negative surprises, from China or anywhere else. The record of China doing bailouts during a bull market has lulled the market into complacency. In bear markets, bailouts don't inspire confidence.
Back in March 2008, Bear Stearns failed. I liquidated most of my stocks in April. People warned of more risk. There was a cover story about Fannie/Freddie risk in August 2008. Most blew it off because they believed it was priced in.
I don't know which way China's Evergrade situation will go. There's a case to be made for both a global contagion and a bailout from Chinese authorities. The behavior of the market means nothing until the potential risk passes.
