Hey why is ABC hashrate still so high despite being 140% more profitable to mine BTC? SV's rate is low to match the price...why not ABC? Are they....scared?

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9yimel/it_appears_the_bsv_chain_is_currently_being/ea1on4h it was not, only an orphan race which is perfectly natural in mining

Okminer, GMO and rawpool are not around - only thing i noticed is when CSW was asked about rawpool he said they are on BTC, waiting for a time to come and make profit

Sure if you want to create another cryptocurrency, not change the base protocol. i feel a whole industry will emerge from customizing offensive/defensive mining software for companies

While everyone wants instant gratification from the hashwar SV will bleed ABC out...they cannot sustain this hash forever. Meanwhile SV keeps building organic support waiting to strike....

I am in this for the long-term. building real wealth, not some quick, cheap self-proclaimed victory. those who understand this will profit. if you can read btwn jimmy's words this is the play

He doesn't give a shit about world money, fucker is mining empty blocks on BCHABC....just like he did during the stress test on 9/1. He just wants a bunch of altcoins so he can keep making $$$

Where the fuck was Jihan last year when BCH split from BTC? He sure brought some hash this time to stop CSW to make sure we got another split. Should be clear what his true motives are

Bitcoin was not made open source so developers could screw around with the base code and protocol, but so miners could customize on top of the client to compete with other miners.

immediately hardfork to uncap the block size. then start destroying every other SHA256 chain. ryan charles and vin have touched on this in recent videos. should be long term plan
replied 2238d
Because they have no idea how the system works. if they were smart they'd attack BCH and force everyone back onto their chain. if they were smarter theyd reject segwit blocks and...

White men are people too
Per his words, he tried to join forces with Jihan but Jihan did not go along with it, thus SegWit was implemented

Yup. they need ~67% of current BCH hash rate though - the bar has been raised. miners need to consider this stuff, they can no longer sit and just passively try to make money

Exactly. one chain preserved is in everyone's best interest.

No one has any hard proof i've seen, only speculation. given ABC's devs public attacks on SV devs, but when asked silence some infer they may work for Bitmain. who knows.

1 CPU/Dollar risked == 1 vote. this is not at all like blockstream subverting and capping the ballsacks of the BTC miners. this is miners finally understanding their role in this system
2238d · Bitcoin Cash
There's no 'attack' on BCH. Miners fight for the chain, and miners can only be 'attacked' if they allow it. This narrative of a takeover is bullshit. we are all capable of fighting. buy miners

I'm suggesting I dont think a fix for it should be applied to the base protocol. im all for client improvements, just not base fixes that level the playing field

I agree with your 2nd sentence. the idea is that you buy and use as medium of exchange and never sell back to fiat. people late must pay higher price, but are buying into the system
