I heard you have to be crazy to use Gentoo though...what do you use in place of it? The old initd?
and you start to wonder... who are these NUTS who think people still uses zip-drives, floppydisks, swapfiles and why do my system have drivers installed for IR remote controls!? -.-

Then you look at alternatives, and nowhere is there an option to be found to getting mplayer without DVD support and whatever you want to install always have 5x as much dependencies.

... but after a while, you stop looking at the documentation and the system just does what it's told, and you realize you've become good at telling it what to do.
Which distro do you use? It would be nice to find a large, mainstream distro without it.
I use Gentoo, and it is optional during install. Gentoo follows the principle that it (the os) must never choose for you. If you feel it takes a choice you should have, bug report! <3
I'm not touching systemd. Do one thing, and do it well. integrating everything means doing the thing you initially wanted worse than if you had done only that.
Since you only follow 1 person it doesn't have much data to use. Either that person follows them or they don't (0 or 100). More info here: https://memo.cash/about#connectivity
ah, I though it was based on who follows me, not who I follow. I get it, now it makes sense :)
The project and specification will be made fully public once the draft is complete, or the original author of BitID responds to my email so I know he has received the heads-up
I just looked at my "followers" list on my profile page. Most people have 0% connection (which is fine), but not a single one has a value other than 0 and 100.
Is it a big deal though? I know he spends a lot of time reviewing code, which is good, but that's far from a solo-job - perhaps it's good that some extra responsibility spills over to others?

That's a difficult problem. I think MoneyButton does a better job at it than Brave, as Brave focuse on publishers rather than users.
Agree. Though I think Moneybutton would be better if it could display a QR code as a fallback. It's burdensome to have an extra seed to store just to use MoneyButton.
Core disclosed the inflation bug after the majority of mining nodes were patched. At the time of writing this, https://coin.dance/nodes reports that 75% of nodes are NOT patched.
We'll see how much those nodes matter in the end...
