I want to hear what they have to say.

Why don't you go to that Zeitgeist meetup over there in Edinburg with your socialist buddies and layout the proposal and get back to us.

I mean, if we all started collectively going to the bathroom in the woods, wiping with leaves, making homes out of animal skin and sticks we'd be more sustainable then. Right?
2396d · Capitalism
Simple problems, Frank. You don't think.
2396d · Capitalism
Besides, making bidets requires oil and plastics, and that's not good for the environment, so you don't buy that. You gonna waddle outside and grab a fistful of leaves or somethin?
2396d · Capitalism
But you see, you need something to wipe with. You haven't installed a bidet or anything yet. What are you gonna wipe with now? Paper towels are gone too for the same reason.

So, under your master plan, evil capitalist company destroying trees goes under. You go to the bathroom and you see the last roll is empty, but now the store doesn't have any to sell.

I hope someone ends up making one. It'd be pretty nice to have a sleek client that works on Windows Mac and Linux with iOS and Android versions that aren't centrally controlled.

Workers are free to leave a company if they feel they are being treated unfairly. Oh, and you use toilet paper paid for with money right @LightRider?

Is there a possibility we could see software that can do all this without a website and without the potential for censorship?

Their job is to maximize profits. But they also have the choice of HOW they maximize those profits. Contrary to popular belief, CEO's aren't completely souless investor drones.

It's not the rope CEO's fault that someone wanted to kill themselves. Maybe the CEO wants the rope to be used to help people navigate dangerous terrain in developing countries?

Are you going to respond to what i said?

Do you have the ability to hide Memo's from the website if you are compelled to do so? Essentially, are you capable of enforcing censorship?
replied 2397d
Maybe like an index? A decentralized network of existing Bitcoin nodes that index the blockchain for memo posts and profiles and feeds that data to clients. Memo nodes if you will.
replied 2397d
In theory, it should be as simple as filtering tx's down to ones with OP_RETURN data tagged with a Memo footprint, linking those posts to an address profile etc.
replied 2397d
Memo is a centralized website. It only picks up people who have registered an account. We need open source software that reads the blockchain directly.

Jeez, two hours between a block. Memo really needs multiple UXTO support. This 25 Memo/block limit is killing me. I don't know whether to be happy because it gives me time to think or angry because i have to wait.

You actually believe CEO's go about there day with the explicit desire to murder people when they create their products and services?
2397d · Capitalism
I think LightRiders biggest problem is that he has no plan. None at all. All of the worlds problems, and none of the solutions. The only suggestions he makes create more problems than they solve

Take that capitalism away and what do we have left?

Do you really think humanity can take another 900 years of stagnation @LR?
2397d · Capitalism
"Renaissance humanists saw the preceding 900 years as a time of stagnation"
