I agree with your disagreement. What was the knee-jerk reaction?
The checkpoint is ok for me since we used that before and we all agree the chain is "the right one" up to that point. The reorg depth was not discussed or analyzed.
This is worth reading (up to the bottom):

Disheartening. I've spoken to him/her and found him/her rational, talented, and a huge asset. But I don't care for ABC or SV, so where does that leave me?
Mempool growing in ABC and SV. Someone really likes to stress the network: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#2,24h
Stressing is pointless. Already identified propagation issues, but the devs have been too busy dealing with this silly ABC/SV nonsense. Should have spent the last 3 months on that.
Weird, my BU node says there's a block 0000000000000000004626ff6e3b936941d341c5932ece4357eeccac44e6d56c that's invalid. I think it's an SV block at 556767.
BU 1.5.0.0 says 000000000000000000a8539b8c94820a6926177430e3aa57b4a80ca9f84dee16 is the best height at 556768 at this moment.
Why the radiation danger symbol? I know there are random number generators based on radioactive compounds, like Kr-85, coupled to a Geiger. Your generator works that way?
Correct. It uses the timing between radioactive decay emissions for entropy.
Hello blockchain. Just finished the microcontroller programming for a true random number generator. First time doing PIC16 code. https://imgur.com/a/rTeBRsT
