Promoted posts is a possibility. There are other revenue ideas that have been considered. But the main focus is exploring the possibilities of OP_RETURN. Memo is just the beginning.
BCH daily transactions soaring (35k today) appears to be related to CoinEx trading volumes surge. CoinEx exchange has BCH denominated trading pairs with the highest volumes I know.

The highest I've seen was 5 million satoshi I think? I believe it was @pewdiepie88 tipping a memo update post? I might be mistaken though.

I do not like that memo.cash stores your wallet password in cleartext in your local storage. Instead some token should be generated server-side and used instead. This token is then validated on each server call.

Yes freedom -- but that freedom exposes the culture for what it is... and in this case, yes it is a problem. Not the freedom but what is in the hearts.
Its not freedom when people with 1 set of political ideas control the supply of money and hand it out to media outlets that support their idealogy, stifling all dissenting opinion.

I agree that's a hurdle, but the trick is getting people to jump it on their own. Worded correctly, that sentiment could engender exclusivity and quality: it's all in the marketing.
Enough people have heard the "If you're not paying, you're the product" line that some variation on that should hit home: ie, "Memo.cash - where you're not the product"
