@esthon yeah I left OP_RETURN out to save cost. Just thinking out loud here 👍

My math might be wrong: fanout = 4,778b, each tx = 189b, cleanup = 21,067b. 189*86400 = 16,329,600b. 24 hr = 16,350,811b. $450/bch = $73.58 per day for 1 tx/s stress test.

I think it should be easy to program to send 1 tx/s. l think it would cost about 150 usd per day considering the actual bch price and fee.

Target is to have 60 mins worth of txns before exhaustion and waiting for block. Mempool depth of 25 means 3600/25=144 fan outs, then 1 tx/s.
2199d · stresstestbitcoin.cash
Going to try 1 tx/s on testnet so there's a constant stream of txns all day long. Then the tx/s increases depending on how much money you want to burn.
2199d · stresstestbitcoin.cash
Would sending out 1 tx/s all day long be better than bursting a bunch of transactions at once?

Are the blasters open source?

Funding whom? When you like something, you're donating to the miners. The person you like only receives funds if you send a tip.

Block propagation was a huge issue. TCP is not a good delivery method. UDP fastlane for private networks, block torrent for public. Would love to see that in the next test.
replied 2200d
Based on the stress test, we need Graphene and UDP fastlane. The end.

Maybe a millionaire makers type of thing to on board more people to Memo? https://redd.it/9hi3jv

Have you run IPFS? Even in DHT client only mode my CPU pegged 100% and bandwidth shot to 100Mbps. There are serious problems.

Great thinking! Video hosting is planned :)
replied 2201d
Loaded question, but what type of content would you like to see? Or what usage would you be looking for?
replied 2202d
IPFS is the ultimate solution, it’s just not ready for any sort of real-world usage.

You are technically correct, however I'm keeping all my coins in wallets where I hold the private key...because that's the point of crypto,no wormhole for me thanks.

It's disingenuous to say coins are burned. Once a coin is mined, every fraction thereof lives eternally. It is always accounted for. Private keys may be lost, but the BCH is there.
